We are MRF-D | Training in Darwin

Marine Rotational Force Darwin
is a six-month rotation of U.S. Marines to Australia during
the Northern Territory dry season. The Rotational Marine Air-Ground
Task Force deployment in Darwin enables U.S. Marines and the Australian Defense
Force to more effectively train, exercise, and operate together in the Indo-Pacific region. MRF-D is designed to enhance regional security,
strengthen our alliances and partnerships, and increase our ability to rapidly respond
to crisis throughout the region. Comprised of command, ground combat, aviation
combat and logistics combat elements, this rotational MAGTF is a tangible demonstration
of our commitment to the Australia-U.S. alliance. It affords U.S. Marines and
Sailors an opportunity to train at world-class facilities all across Australia. As forward deployed naval forces, our Marines
and Sailors are partnered, postured, professional and dedicated to maintaining a
free and open Indo-Pacific region. We are MRF-D.
