Joint drills are good for both South Korea and the U.S.: Berger


US Marine Corps commanded David H burger
says South Korean and US troops are continuing to train together and that
doing so is good for both sides speaking at a seminar at the Heritage Foundation
think tank in Washington DC burger said the exercise has stopped briefly for a
year but resumed after that and at both sides are also planning to train
together this fall since the Singapore summit between the North Korea and the
u.s. in June of last year so in Washington have postponed or downsized
their joint drills in an apparent attempt to reduce tensions with North
Korea
