ESO PvP Guide – Combat Mechanics and Skillful PvP [Pro Tips]

What’s up guys? I figured I should make an updated version of my How to PvP Guide Video since the first one is almost a year old and there have been a few changes to combat in ESO since then. So in this guide, I’ll show you both the basic and advanced combat mechanics in ESO then I’ll explain how to use them to
smack the SHIT out of your PvP opponents Let’s GO! Here are the topics I’ll cover in this video. I’ll go through them quickly, and afterwards I’ll give you a comprehensive summary of how to pull everything together to be successful in both PvE and PvP. Check the description below for links to each topic within this video. Let’s start with Light Attacks. Light Attacks are your normal attacks that are performed when you tap your left click. These deal low damage, but they give you a buff which generates your ultimate and they also trigger your weapon enchantment effects. Check my combat log in the bottom left to see light attacks, followed by my weapon enchantment effect and ultimate generation. Heavy Attacks are your normal attacks which are performed when you hold your left click. These attacks deal a decent amount of damage, but more importantly, they regenerate your resources. Dealing damage with a fully charged heavy attack, using a magic weapon will regenerate your magicka. Similarly, using a heavy attack with a physical weapon will regenerate your stamina. Damage over Time attacks, or DoTs, are an important type of attack that you should have at least one of in your arsenal. DoTs allow you to keep damaging your opponent while you continue to use other abilities. Finishers are attacks which deal significantly more damage to targets who have low HP, typically less than 25%. You should have at least one of these on your bar, and you should use it when your target is almost dead, NOT when they’re full health (that’s just a waste of your magicka or stamina). Your ultimates are typically your strongest abilities. They require charging in order to use, making them essentially the only attacks that are not spammable in ESO. Your ultimates show up on the far right of your ability bar. Using an ultimate at the right time can drastically increase your chances of winning your fights. Crowd Control, or CC abilities, are any attacks that inhibit your target’s movement. There are two main types of CC: Hard CC, and Soft CC parties you’re not down not bad holes views storms said PCs completely
immobilized you unable to attack yet the week time with the right now
bring an end to regain control here the default you want to break my
heart CC in let the right mouse button at the same
time of the season roots and snares you can still use abilities when
partners RTC you can log jams RTC I know what happened direction Hey after you get outta my heart CC at about
me up a timer oh my freaking out a bit you cared will be immune to all RTC for
five seconds has immunity is denoted by a swirling
wind animation AP is extremely important to note that only
porn CC offers this issue you need then he saw CC’s can be spammed on a
time keeping them permanently rooted opposing in with your stamina by
continuously titling obvious RTC don’t use that shit blocking can be accomplished with any
weapon just by using likely one who uses the damage you take it also prevents
most CC’s from affecting you at the Casa depleting stamina good luck
timing is essential for school pp and you can I want to block just crack his time correctly cockles much to
completely avoid taking damage from BMCC as mentioned before they also allow you
to break free sought CC’s passion can be done anyway intact I don’t fall tap left and
right mouse buttons at the same time to interrupt your targets cast time are
channeled ability unfortunately you can no longer bash any attacks but I’m hoping this will
change in the near future so we started with the basics and
gradually got more complex before pulling together let’s review what I consider to be
advanced combat techniques resource management refers to your
ability to prevent character from running out Magica stamina here two ways to maintain
one is to build form your second chance any others who just
replaced the best approaches to and to do a little bit about I recommend
cost reduction in shipments on Julie and I also recommend keeping calm
be don’t get too excited and blow to all
your resources your point still has nightmares yet to judge how rapidly she use your
skills based on current situation if you think you can win the fight been given on got but if you’re not
positive that all you got enough to defeat your opponent slow and steady
wins the race animation canceling is the most advanced comment technique ESL what might come
along to see game at my time allied attack steel in a
bash almost the exact same time taken by
other guy video made specifically for explaining anything here he want to take your GPS next month are coming and who’s got by pulling
everything together a skilled player master all the items up current and they
will be constantly thinking about each one by in general you wanna make sure you see see your
phone every chance you get watch community nations smack them a CC instant boner in
the meantime make sure the place on dots on them and
refreshment time runs out he should use animation canceling we
light attack between skills to keep generating old
blocking also cancelled help prevent you from getting CC if you
do the CC she questioned whether or not you need
to break out a lot of times I will under CC SEC way for the time
right now because I know mostly by nancy c
Commission and always the stamina to freak out this also makes my opponent think I’m
understand which makes them burglaries and I have been running
around one and soon it will be time to bust out the Fisher no matter what class you play on weapon type to use will build you use
for what are set to quit if you understand masoud techniques
representative has been you’ll become dominici here all your skill TV Player PE will be a walk

  1. Another great video Lefty, keep em coming, Your dk build never gets old. Are you working on any other alts though? Just curious

  2. Great video! Any possible chance you can make a video on your one hand/shield build? Also, is it possible to make a detailed guide with examples? I know this one is supposed to get right to the point, but I'm the type of guy who likes detailed explanations. great vid tho!

  3. I don't know how you can have so much health and stamina at the same time. All my attributes are in stamina and all my glyphs are in stamina but I only have around 23k stamina. How do you have both stamina and health so high? I know your racial passives helps but they're only 10% boost so there is something else you're doing that I haven't figured out yet

  4. Just got the WW trait last night.  So this vid will really help me out.  Could you make an addon vid as well.  I am looking to go mostly PvP, and I am interested in your setup.  Thanks

  5. They really have to fix the animation cancelling. There is nothing shittier than getting hit by 5 attacks in less than a second.

  6. Hey can you help me out? In small teamfights like a 3v3 for example, who would be better to focus: damage dealers or the healers?

  7. Shooting a thanks your way man, your videos made this newbie ESO console player pretty decent on AD non-vet! Using your tips with some on the fly thinking I had no trouble getting to Veteran Alliance Rank in 2weeks while everyone else was still trying to get the hang of PvP

  8. First I would like to say thank you for the video. Secondly I have had the pleasure of competing against you on a few occasions and it is always educational and challenging. While my main is a Templar, I am currently leveling a Dk. With you having so many videos I haven't noticed one on specific gear used, especially with the latest patch and those changes. I'm sure you may have one and I am just missing it. Can you drop a link to one if you do ? Thanks again for the vids, and more importantly the competition.

  10. I'm a pretty decent PvP player but i'm just having trouble with damn nightblades with my DK. I just feel like that every time I'm around a keep or something I get recked. Any suggestions in that regard?

  11. Hey this the first guide that I found that really handed me the basics and told me what I needed to focus on to improve. Great work man! Thanks!

  12. Animation Canceling is for scrubs and people who defend it are worse than the lazy faggot devs that can't fix it. LOL

    Enjoy your Fail Scrolls.

But please do entertain me in Defending it.

  13. I think ive got the basics down what i need help with is my build. Im a dk stam dual handed build i feel like i can barely do any damage while getting destroyed
